Ministry Warns Business Owners to Stop Distributing Unregistered La Roche-Posay Products

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Health has ordered business owners and other stakeholders promoting the sale of 'La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dry Touch' and 'La Roche-Posay.COMBO' cosmetics, as the sale and distribution of these products could potentially endanger the health of citizens.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health on Monday, 17 October, the Facebook page of La Roche-Posay in Phnom Penh is promoting the sale of 'La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dry Touch' and 'La Roche-Posay.COMBO' cosmetic products, which do not yet have official registered identification numbers from the Ministry of Health, as of 30 September 2022.

The press release adds that according to the Law on the Administration of Medicines and the Law on the Amendment of the Law on the Administration of Medicines, all cosmetic products in the Kingdom of Cambodia must have first received an official identification number from the Ministry of Health before sale and distribution.

The Ministry of Health has called on the public to not fall for the promotion of unregistered cosmetic products, in order to avoid losing money and potentially cause harm to their own health.

The Ministry also stated that there will be strict legal action taken against the social media account holders promoting the unregistered products, and all those involved in importing, distributing, or promoting the 'La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dry Touch' and 'La Roche-Posay COMBO LARY WART REMOVER' products.
